“Buachaill an Ghúna” –David Walliams.
GRMMA Máirín Ní Mháta– a rinne an leagan Gaeilge
Welcome!!! Failte! Tá sé seo spreagúil. Táimid ag léamh. Táimid ag léamh leabhar fíor.
yes, yes–it would be better to read an Irish book (i promise, i will get to cuaiger X….) (also xx fairy tales) (also tagh books—)xxxxxx
yes, there are better places to start, but the best thing is to actually start. My kids have enjoyed David Walliams–he seems like he and Roald Dahl could have palled around (he even managed to get the wonderful Quentin Blake to illistrate for him, completing the feel). Plus, bonus, I had this book i my house in both Irish and English! The best reason to use this one 🙂
So here is how I am doing this….
Caibidil a haon–Bac ar Bharróga
-Bac ar Bharróga = block on hugs or no hugs
Cosúil le Dahl, tosaímid le leanbh brónach agus tuismitheoir ar iarracht. Tá Mamí imithe. Is tubaiste é an teaghlach. Ní labhraíonn aon duine faoi Mamí. Níl aon caoineadh. Níl aon barróga. Tá ár bpríomhcharachtar Dennis, brónach.
